Zia Tile
Zia Tile is a Los Angeles-based tile studio. The studio works with workshops worldwide to craft tile in vernacular styles, from Moroccan Zellige to Japanese Ceramic. The brand approached us seeking a rebrand that more fully encapsulated their blend of architectural clarity and colorful expression. We worked with Zia brand on strategy, copywriting, brand identity, art direction, and a new e-commerce website.
Zia’s new identity reflects geometry and expression. Between a bold wordmark, an abstracted logomark, geometric icons created for each tile type, and special hand drawn stamps for different locations worldwide, the brand identity has a dynamic range to express Zia’s own expansiveness.
The digital expression of the new brand weaves through each genre of tile, creating a common thread among product that is ranging. The site is an expansive catalogue with numerous filtering and sorting approaches, but in each touchpoint the brand’s expansive philosophy on color and beauty shines through.
